Day 1: Getting to Calais

We are all booked on the 09.40 SeaFrance sailing from Dover aboard the `Moliere`. Due to the size of the group SeaFrance require us to be ready to board one hour prior to sailing, i.e. 08.40am.

Bearing in mind that you will need to drop your luggage onto one of the two luggage vans, possibly park your car, maybe find your way from the station, PLEASE make sure you are at the Travel Centre, Port of Dover by 08.00am.

THAT’S 08.00AM AT THE TRAVEL CENTRE PORT OF DOVER WEDNESDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER.

CARRY YOUR PASSPORT!

SeaFrance will endeavour to cater for late-comers on the 10.40 ferry, but places are not guaranteed and will be limited, so do try to be at the Travel Centre by 8am. Remember that we have 60 miles to cover on the other side so will be a late finish if you miss the boat.

Luggage will be placed on the vans before you board the ferry, you cannot access luggage during the crossing so you need to get on the boat ready to ride off the other side. Support will be stationed at a visible location on the other side, hopefully before we actually leave the port of Calais. You will be able to fill up water bottles, pump up tyres etc. wherever the support vans are.

It will not be practical to access luggage unless absolutely necessary as you will need to rummage through 140 pieces of luggage to locate yours !!
