I decided to go for a short ride in the sunshine to show my man cold that I’d beaten it.The sun was out but it was still chilly and the sharp air meant my man cold could make my chest tight and a bit wheezy, but I still showed it alright ;)

Did 16.5 miles in 1hr 10m round the local lanes, including the B4507 which as John knows consists of lots of short but sharp hills. Passed the (closed) cream tea place and my favourite house in Kingston Lisle, must take a picture one day as it is lovely – the garage is amazing, and to be honest I tend to look at garages first, houses second.

Matt had invited me to do a 25-miler with him, starting/finishing about 10 miles from my house, so about 45 in all for me. I was sorely tempted to join him but am glad I didn’t as my little ride was enough. But glad I went out though, feel better than I would have if I’d of just sat on my fat arse doing nothing, I think.

Need to up the cycling significantly if I’m going to get fit again, as I’ve done very little in the last 5 months. Have done more than previous winters, but even so, not much.

At the start of April I’ve got a reasonable length cycle with John (if I can make it), then at the start of May it’s the Oxon classic (60 miles) and the first of my free Introduction to Mountain Biking courses. Cant do those fat and unfit can I?

Finally, I must get round to fixing all the bugs in this theme (like the fact that smilies end up in the wrong place and the gravatars are broken), either that or find another. I’m very grateful for people that come up with WordPress themes for free, but many people seem to make just the front screen pretty and stop there, leaving the rest broken, but still think it’s worthy of publishing. Really quite annoying.

Our paths must have crossed as we did Kingston Lisle, they are ALL nice houses out there!!
My man cold has been causing me some bother, mostly since I got home oddly.
Hope we can get some miles in together, spur each other on a little :)

The theme will be worth it mate – plus when you edit the code it becomes more yours than theirs ;)

I see what you mean about the smilies appearing at the beginning of the line that you actually wanted the smiley to appear :)
